The need for a workout partner or personal trainer is increasingly evident in today’s society, where sedentary lifestyles and mental health challenges are on the rise. Many individuals struggle with motivation to maintain a consistent workout routine due to various factors such as lack of accountability, social isolation, or uncertainty about how to exercise effectively.

An app like SoPro Fitness address this gap by connecting users with potential workout partners or certified personal trainers tailored to their preferences and goals.

Studies show that a significant portion of college-age students struggle with financial literacy. According to a report by the National Financial Educators Council, in 2023, young adults aged 18-24 estimated that their lack of financial knowledge cost them an average of $1,819. Additionally, a survey by EVERFI found that nearly 80% of college students feel they need more education on personal finance topics such as saving, investing, and managing debt. With the rise of digital banking and cryptocurrency, many students lack the necessary guidance to make informed financial decisions.
Recognizing this gap, our UX research team believes that Money Mentor, a mobile app designed to connect college students with financial advisors, can provide accessible and personalized financial education. The app would offer expert guidance on topics like budgeting, IRAs, savings, and cryptocurrency, empowering young adults to make smarter financial choices. By bridging the knowledge gap through an interactive and user-friendly platform, Money Mentor aims to set students up for long-term financial success.
